On a Thursday night in December, music lovers of all walks of life marched through the harsh winds and uncommonly cold Louisiana night ready for a show. That show was the “104 the X X-mas Bash” sponsored by Baton Rouge alternative-rock radio station, 104 the X.

The lineup consisted of Carolina Liar, Cold War Kids, Jack’s Mannequin, Snow Patrol, and, the understood headliner, Death Cab for a Cutie. Even though this type of music is not exactly my cup of tea, I went to the concert hoping to be inspired by something-anything; that is exactly what happened.

The Experience is Part of the Show!

Vehicles rushed to line the block and crowd parking garages while groups of laughing concertgoers stood on the streets and sidewalks in front of the Baton Rouge River Center (concerts venue) clad in the trendiest ensembles imaginable.
