David Tennant's reign as the tenth incarnation of the sole surviving Time Lord is coming to an end. This is the first of three episodes drawing his time to a close; the remaining two are scheduled to air in the UK at the end of the year.

This review does not contain spoilers, although it will make oblique references to events that occur during the programme.

Doctor Who and the Ice Warriors of Mars

This episode pays homage to an early Doctor Who featuring second the Doctor, Patrick Troughton. The Ice Warriors first appeared in a series of episodes in 1967, some of which have since been lost. They made subsequent appearances into the 1970's.
